Day 149/365 It’s time to go, junk in the bureau draw

If you have a spare bureau, perhaps in a spare room, you probably know the kinds of things I found in mine this afternoon. This was the beginning of a multi-day project to clear out a little room that was my daughter’s when she was growing up. Now we call it ‘The Croft’ because it holds Scottish memorabilia—books and souvenirs, and my husbands golf mementoes. It’s going to take a couple of days to purge this room, but today I filled four bags, labeled as follows: put-and-take, church, Emily, and trash. In one drawer I saved a few treasures—wrapping paper, craft items, and a few little gifts. The other two now hold sheets and pillow cases that used to be stuffed in the closet.
In a few days this room will morph into a cozy little guestroom.
