Today I sent some
prayers and sayings to a friend who is about to undergo serious surgery--sayings
and prayers that my mom had included in her Christmas cards over the last
fifteen years of her life. Some she wrote, others she borrowed from the other ‘saints’
who had gone before her.
So you see, this letting go is not about getting rid of stuff but about sharing
the abundance of what I have, which is the memory of my mom, and what she sent to her friends, and
what I am now passing on to my friends.
