It’s time to go, bedding and clothing, 228/365

The attic is purged, except for a couple of Christmas boxes. For the most part, things are in plastic boxes. In fact, three empty plastic boxes is proof that I got rid of stuff. The truck of the car is filled with treasures for Goodwill. Bags of clothing and bedding are ready for the church rummage sale. The dumpster is coming next Wednesday.

It’s time to go, clothes in the closet: 207/365

The other day I cleared out under the bathroom sink and thought I’d get credit for getting rid of stuff. “But really, Bobs, you gotta do that anyway.”
Today, however, I want credit for getting rid of clothes that have been hanging unworn for years. Off they go to the church rummage sale or to my daughter to put on Ebay or sell at her neighborhood yard sale.

I couldn’t, however, get rid of the tartan skirt that my mom wore every Christmas Eve for as long as I can remember.

Purging more clothes and shoes: 203/365

Decisions are getting easy. I don’t have as many shoes and slippers to chose from. Sounds simple, and it is. Just one less thing to think about when getting dressed. Alas, I have more to purge, but this is a start.

Turtlenecks and shoes, out you go: 202/365

I’m back, determined to purge again. The forty year collection of stuff in this house has got to go. Every day my thoughts about stuff clutter my mind, or should I say  the thoughts about clutter stuff my mind. I lament to friends but I don’t take action. Maybe this time I mean business. I hope so, in fact I will it to be so. It will just be a little each day but I have faith in the cumulative effect!
Yesterday it was a closet, not tidying up but purging twenty turtlenecks, three pairs of slippers, and two pairs of sneakers. Some is being washed ready for the spring church rummage sale; the rest is on its way to the dump.
