Here
we are, anticipating the Blizzard of 2013, ready to let go of this firewood. I
don’t need to tell you that the snow is already accumulating around here. If
you live in the northeast you’ve been paying attention to the forecast and are preparing
for power outages should the wind or fallen branches get the best of you. If
you live outside the storm zone, you’re probably bored with all the Face Book
comments. 
My
husband has resurrected the never-used generator that he purchased twenty years
ago. Because it is all gassed up and ready to go, I think that he is secretly
hoping to call upon it to keep our computers working and coffee brewing.
Regardless of the weekend weather, we will be letting go of firewood in
our woodstove in the kitchen, just as we do every winter evening.
